I do believe there is something in saying to an adult, “grow up”, because he is suppose to have grown enough to know what he is doing or wise enough not to listen to something only children have to.
I think of it differently, I do not see enough grown up adults to believe we only need to have the right age to say we can handle ourselves and others, sorry but not the reality I see…
I do think it’s too serious seeing adults doing horrible immature things to them and others and still nobody can question or say anything because they "supposedly" are adults who know best.
I do see there are stages in life that we have to learn and grow up in order to move on to the next stage. We have many since the day we’re born and after reaching 21 years old we are as prepared for life as we were at 16, so how is it possible to have so much knowledge even to get married and have children so soon?
I don’t even understand how can one choose what they want to be at age 16… So yes, I must be a very confused person because, if we can’t predict our actions before 21 years old how can we be making so many important choices at such young age?
The way I see it we have at least 4 stages in life to grow and learn as much as we can. We can’t ever say we are wise enough or have grown up enough to know what we do all the time, we should never stop learning and never stop being humble to recognize we were wrong or we need to know more…
Maybe in 100 years (if humans are still around) we can have a more responsible society and better organized so it can participate more on how things work better for all of us.
I wish arrogance and ignorance would be erased of this world once and for all so we can have more wise people around passing their life’s experience to the youngest and helping each other more in the big steps we have to make, instead of blaming on "generations".
We had better societies than this 3 thousand years before ours so something is very wrong.
Maybe we are just tired of living, or we don’t care anymore, who knows…
