Healing

One thing we must learn to do is knowing when to stop no matter what when we need to heal, we have to stop to do it properly, it means we have an excess of something that we didn’t had enough endurance to take it or just a way of making us comeback inside ourselves and relax for a change.
Sometimes I think of it as a game, we need new tools so we have to get pass some difficult levels to get them and learn what they are for.
Self-pity doesn’t help at all if we want to learn and move on from pain or something else.
There is a time to mourn, a time to digest and to learn, we get out stronger and with better tools to help us deal with a lot more things than before…
Patience is key as well and being awake for what is really going on.
Another stop is when we see how hard it is to focus or to be rational at crucial moments that need all our attention to make decisions, we just have to say: no, I really can’t do anything right now but I'll wait for the right moment when I’m ready to do that, to get on with my life again.
Healing is no more nor less than coping with new things or old ones that grow on us too much. We can’t deal with them without help, without making space in our mind for it.
A way of knowing if we are healed is when it becomes something that doesn’t mess with our lives nor our minds, we are fine, we got it, we digest it well enough to move on without going back there the same way we did first time.
It can be a terrible place when we arrive, but if we do it right, it’s a great place to start from.
